Makeup Revolution Mermaids Forever Palette
More goodness from Makeup Revolution on the blog! I recieved this new Mermaids Forever palette from MUR this week and I couldn't wait to create a look with the orange shades. I created this look with Creature and a touch of Starfish in the crease then Starfish in the middle of the lid, Ariel on the outer corner and Bay on the inner corner. My liner is my favourite liner from Makeup Revolution, the Awesome Double Flick Liquid Liner.
I'm so excited to have such a colourful palette in my collection, it's just so pretty!
I think that they hit the nail on the head with the name of this palette as its full of colour and shimmery goodness that it definitely has the mermaid effect.
The palette contains 32 shades with a mixture of orange, pink, purple, blue green, brown and black shadows and different shades in each. It's perfect for those who want to get a bit of colour in their eye makeup as they're very buildable shadows so you can have a bold pop of colour or just a hint of something on the lid.
This palette is £8 and is available on the Makeup Revolution website.
What do you think?! Do you like the palette?

Anastasia Beverly Hills - Contour Kit, Lipgloss & Liquid Lipsticks
These are my first Anastasia Beverly Hills Products and they definitely wont be the last! I love them! Everything from the packaging to the product inside has me hooked. They're so pretty and I cant wait to get my hands on more. I bought these from Macy's and I hunted around the cosmectics section for around 5 minutes and just when I thought that there wasnt any there, Matt found the stand tucked away on the other side of a Tarte stand. I couldnt decide what to get but I knew that lip products had to be on the list as theyre difficult to get hold of in the UK.
First of all I looked straight at the Liquid Lipsticks. Pure Hollywood was at the top of my list but unfortunately, that Lovely and another shade was out of stock. So I settled for the next two I wanted. Milkshake is nude colour with a light pink tone and Baby Pink is pretty self explanatory but its a fun pink colour. I seriously want them all now, they're incredibly pigmented and very comfortable to wear on the lips.
I knew that the Lipglosses came out but I didn't realise they were fully stocked in store so I was rather excited when I saw them underneath the Liquid Lips. They have such a large range of lipglosses, there really is a big enough range for everyones taste. I just picked up the one lipgloss as there were other things I wanted to buy. Undressed is a beige nude colour with a slight peachy tone which is my favourite nude shade to wear. Also, these lipglosses are only $16 which I think is such a bargain for what they are. I cant wait to get more when I go back!
I was just about to go to the counter and pay when I saw the contour kits all stacked nicely down one side. I couldn't resist as I dont have any contour kits so I was eager to pick one up. I then had to make a choice between cream or powder. I went for the powder purely becuase I find powder a lot easier to use on an everyday basis and I need some new tools to create a good cream contour with. So next time I go, i'll hopefully have new tools so I can pick it up!
I can see why a lot of people rave about this palette, it really is very pretty and the powders are great quality so theyre worth the $40. The contour shades are great and there is a really nice highlighting shade that has a really pretty sparkle to it. I'm looking forward to creating a look with the palette, as well as the rest of the products! I also love that I can replace on shade if I need too as they can all be bought separately.
Let me know what ABH products you guys have and which ones I need to buy next time!

Dupe Alert! Burberry VS Makeup Revolution
So I opened up my free sample of the new Burberry Kisses lipstick and after playing around with it for a while, I noticed that I had seen a shade very similar to it before. Now yes, I know that we all like to indulge in an expensive brand now and again but sometimes, why spend so much on a lipstick when its the colour you want.
These two are incredibly similar, as you can see from the two pictures, when its with a flash or without, they really very close in matching. Also, the consistency is very similar too as they're average in pigmentation so both lipsticks have to be built up to get the bold colour that you would want from a red lipstick.
These two products maybe similar in colour but they're very different in price. Makeup Revolution Atomic Shade in Atomic Ruby is only £1 where as the Burberry Kisses lipstick in Military Red No.109 is £25! That is a huge difference in price so sometime you can see that it is the brand of pay for. I would love to own a few more full size Burberry Kisses Lipsticks as they are really nice but as I'm a little scared of bold colours, I'll definitely purchase some more bold colours from Makeup Revolution because if I decide I don't like them, for £1, it's not a major waste!

Makeup Revolution Unicorns Unite Palette
Sorry this is a little late, I didn't get this beauty of a palette until I got back yesturday, but naturally I got straight on to taking some snaps and preping a post to let all of you know how good the latest Makeup Revolution palette is. I even went all out and took swatches for you guys, just because I was feeling motivated.. Go me!
I do apologise for the poor photo quality. Im definitely going back to the rug as I'm not happy with the light in these photos which is super annoying as I took so many photos that I now can't use. Not cool. You bloggers will feel this pain!
Back to the more important topic, this is one of the latest releases from Makeup Revolution. I''m so excited to be sharing it as I feel like MUR are having a really fun phase at the minute and coming out with some colourful prodcts which I'm enojying because its good to have a pop of colour in your collection!
Like all of the Salvation palettes, this one has a case that purple reflective which definitley says magic and unicorns to me. Once you open it up, there a super pretty range of colours with matte to shimmer finishes. My favourite shadows have to be Grace, Unicorn, Believe and Unite. There is a great range of shimmers and mattes which you can create a really nice look with and thats what I like the most about the Salvation Palettes as they have great matte shades to make the whole look really blended.
If you fancy picking up this Salvation Palette on the Makeup Rev website then hurry over there now as they are doing a 3 for 2 on all Salvation Palettes so you'll actually be getting 3 palettes for £12 - bliss!
What do you think of the palette?

Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette - Iconic Elements
How it has taken me so long to post this - I really don't know why but it's probably because I've just been so obsessed with it. Lately, I have been really into natural shades and creating a soft cut crease look which this has been the perfect palette for that. This is another magic palette in the long line of Makeup Revolution palettes and its up there with one of the best.
Like all of the other palettes, they're very inexpensive and great quality for the price they are. A lot of people, like myself, are into natural shades and this palette gives you everything you need. It contains 12 shadows, 11 matte's and one shimmer ranging from light to dark and warm to cool shades. Everyday natural perfectness!
I'm actually taking this palette away with me because its a great palette to have for every day looks and for night time all you need to do is to darken the crease up or smoke out the lower lash line.
Also as of late I've really been into just covering my lids in a cream coloured shadow as I find it really brightens up the eye area and when you add a definition colour in the crease, it makes you look like you've made a lot more effort with only two small steps!

What's In My Travel Makeup Bag
Okay so it looks a little excessive but I will no doubt be using all of the items that I'm taking with me! When i'm travelling, I like to take the items that are smaller and more compact so I can fit more stuff in. I have the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette as it has a bronzer, highlighter and blush all in one which is great for traveling as it decreases the use of space. Yes, I know I still look bronzer, highlighter and blush separates but its nice to have options.
When i'm going away, I like to have options but at the same time, I don't like to take a lot of the products that are more expensive because if something was to break or get lost I would be really sad!
I love Rimmel lipsticks as they great quality and good value for money. I have quite a few of them so I've packed a selection in for different looks!
I find that sample mascaras come in so handy when traveling as they are great for space saving and you it means you don't have to take your full favourite mascaras that could be expensive.
I also have three of the Makeup Revolution palettes as they're quite thin and they fit at the bottom of the bag well. Also the quality is great and I can't live without a Makeup Rev palette!
What do you take when you're going away?
