Spring/Summer Foundation Must Have!

Hey Guys :)

I know I haven't been with it lately guys! I just have been so busy. I know it's a bad excuse but if you follow me on twitter (@prettychitchat) then you will know that was my birthday yesterday, I'm going to London TODAY! and moving house this weekend! So hectic.

I just wanted to check in to let you guys know a recent discovery of mine! As the warmer weather is coming (I hope) I like to look for a lighter foundation with an SPF in as well and something that stuff has a lovely finish. Ladies and jelly beans, I have found it! I have never had a lot of L'Oreal make up but the L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau Do Tent has seriously changed my mind and I want ALL of it! This foundation is beautiful! It is so soft and blends amazingly on the skin which is great for any foundation. The reason I think this foundation is perfect for the warmer weather as it has SPF18 in it and it is so light. The finish on the skin is slightly matte, so if you're after a intense dewy finish on the skin then this is the right one for you guys but it's just so flawless! My foundation colour is ivory so naturally I picked the colour i thought would be closest which was Warm Ivory as Porcelain is too pale. When I got home and tried it, it look really quite dark on my skin but once I blended it out, it turned into the perfect colour and would go great once ive got more of a tan.. I will say for you ladies with super fair skin that they do the foundation in Porcelain but please try it out first as it is a little darker then normal shades you would trust. The only con is that it comes in a 20ml bottle when they are normally 30ml but you know, I'll just have to purchase it more often!  I cannot say how much I love this foundation! My actual word was WOW when I first tired this foundation! If you are looking for a light to medium coverage foundation then look no further.

I hope you all have a lovely day, I'll probably be back over the weekend but I'm in London tomorrow and busy moving at the weekend so I hope you all have a fab weekend too!

Arbonne Week: Day Five FINALLY!

HI GUYS!

Just to catch you guys up on few things, I recently had a birthday night out so I had to recover from that  which was not easy. Then on Saturday efore I went out, I've just been so hectic with sorting stuff out for when I move house this weekend. I have to much I need to do! Along with this week, it's my birthday on Thursday and I'm in London on Friday! So much to do and so little time! But enough of my excuses, fifth day of Arbonne! Although the track of time seems pointless I still want to stick by it and I wanted to do 5 days of Arbonne reviews as I liked the products a lot!

I wana just keep it simple with this last product as I feel that we can get lost in so many different products that we forgot what our skin actually needs and that's just to keep a good PH balance. If you've got the right PH balance within in your skin then you would be amazed about how much if a different it can make and you don't actually find a lot of skin care that actually gives you what you skin needs. The biggest factor this range has it that is it perfect for sensitive skin! It's soothing and hydrating which is perfect so sensitive skin.

In my samples of the Calm Skincare range I got Gentle Daily Cleanser, Soothing Facial Serum, Gentle Daily Moisturiser and Soothing Eye Gel.

Gentle Daily Cleanser - This is a light clear cleanser that leaves the skin feel clean and fresh.
"This extra gentle, sulphate free cleanser, formulated with only the most essential ingredients, gently washes away makeup, excess oil and dirt without irritating or over drying the skin. Leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed, and can be used day or night."*

Soothing Faicial Serum: I like this serum as it feels so pure and is incredibly light like water!
"This lightweight serum, with a moisture barrier soothing complex, quickly penetrates, cools and soothes the skin, locking in moisture and leaving the skin feeling hydrated and supple. This non-irritating, non-comedogenic serum is the ideal product for improving the texture and appearance of the skin."*

Gentle Daily Moisturiser: This is a white cream that is so hydrating on the skin and I think is perfect for the night and day.
"This non-comedogenic facial moisturiser feels weightless and absorbs quickly, leaving the skin feeling soft and nurtured. Formulated to help provide hydrating relief from tightness, dryness and discomfort, this lightweight moisturiser restores and maintains skin moisture without leaving an oily feeling and can be used day or night."*

Soothing Eye Gel: I don't like anything too heavy around the eyes as it's all ready such a thin area that you don't need any harsh product so that is why this one is so perfect!
"This gentle ophthalmologist tested eye gel, packaged with a convenient roller ball applicator, feels instantly refreshing on the skin. Helps reduce the appearance of puffiness around the eyes and hydrates and smoothes the eye area for youthful, vibrant looking skin."*

If you have sensitive skin or  you just like to keep it simple then I would definitely recommend these products!

Once again, I am sorry for being inactive at the moment but don't worry I will get back into the full swing of things! Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Everything with a * are quotes from the Arbonne website which can be found here.

Arbonne Week: Day Four!

Hey guys,

It is day five of my Arbonne Review Week and I thought I would keep it sweet and simple and talk about two basic products that are used nearly every other day in a women's beauty routine. Shampoo and Conditioner! I got the cutest mini samples of their Pure Vibrance Shampoo and Condition which i was eager to try out. The Pure Vibrance range was created especially for colour or chemically treated hair with 'ColorLast Technology' to help stop colour fade and lock in shine.*
The main thing I look for in a shampoo is to really cleanse my hair and give it abit of volume and with my conditioner, I just want it to completly moisturise and nourish my hair as it is quite damaged. I don't often look for a shampoo to help the colour of my hair as I have recently dyed my hair close to the natural colour so I get my natural colour come through the if I have a colour locking shampoo then I won't get the effect I want!

After using the Pure Vinrance Shampoo and Conditioner, I was pleasantly surprised! The shampoo left my hair feeling incredibly cleansed and clean, leaving my hair feeling light and not weighed down by product which some often do if they're too strong. I found that the conditioner complimented the shampoo nicely as it feel it feeling light an fresh. I actually noticed a extra shine to my hair and the colour vibrance in my hair had actually improved.

I think that I would have to try it out a few more times to get the full effects of it but ever all I would definitely want to try them again and delve into the rest of their hair range as it did smell really good as well!

Look out for more next blog for more Arbonne product reviews!
Hope you all have a lovely Friday :)

PURE VIBRANCE Conditioner - £25

Arbonne Week: Day Three!

Hey Guys!

First of all I want to apologise for not actually doing the day three on the third day. I just did not have the time! So I'm sorry!
Is anyone else feeling like this week is going super quick?! I'm lucky as I have Friday off so i have a 4 day week for the next 3 weeks! yay!
So it is Day Three of my Arbonne review week and i wanted to just talk about two of their cosmetics products. The samples i am reviewing today are the Make Up Primer and the Sheer Glow Highlighter.

I only have two primers in my life and that is the Nivea 24 hour hydration primer and the Benefit Porefessional. I have never really ventured into primers (let me know if you any good ones!) but i felt it was a good opportunity to new ones as I'm like a clean slate! This primer was translucent but had a skin tone pigment in it and had that silicone feel to it that left my skin feeling smoothed out before foundation application. Im slightly in two minds about it. Although i liked the way it made my skin feel, it had a slight plasticy scent to it which slightly put me off!

On to the Sheer Glow Highlighter. It is a cream coloured highlighter with a slight pink undertone. It
is incredibly sheer and it is incredibly beautiful!! I applied my foundation as I normally would and I highlighted before contour as I wanted to make sure I could fix it easily if it went wrong but I was surprised! Gave me skin such a beautiful shine to it, I was so impressed! It blended so nicely in my skin and gave it that something extra.

Overall, i'm not really into the primer but i would definitely purchase the Sheer Glow Highlighter as i think that it would be really nice during the summer time when you wear a little less make up but still want that extra glow!

Sheer Glow Highlighter is £31 and can be purchased from their website, here.
Make Up Primer is £26 and can be purchased from their website, here.

Arbonne Week! Day Two.

Hello ladies!

To continue the Arbonne Review Week I want to go on to talk about one of their body care ranges Sea Source Detox Spa. If you read yesterday blog you would know the reason for this blog but if not, see it here!

Sea Source Detox Spa is a body care range from within the Arbonne brand. They have a number of products within each range within the brand, but I liked the samples from this range as they smelt like the products used in actual spa's for instance Elemis.

FOAMING SEA SALT SCRUB:
This was a different take on a normal scrub. It had the base of being a good body wash but with the added grittiness in it that made it a lovely scrub. It claims to ''help increase microcirculation and stimulate skin to promote a healthy looking radiance, without disturbing skin's essential balance''*

DETOXIFYING RESCUE WASH:
Once I opened that packet i just thought it was a basic wash but after i dried my skin i thought that it left it feeling soft and had a great smell to it!
''Its unique formula protects against free radical damage and lays down a protective moisture barrier on the skin's surface."*

RENEWING BODY GELEE: This was a strange take on a moisturiser! Never the less i loved it as it had that beautiful Spa smell too it! strange way to explain it i know but still! Very nourishing and moisturizing!
"nourishes, hydrates and moisturises, while helping to maintain skin's natural surface ionic balance."*

Overall I think the range is great, gets you in touch with that spa feeling which can make a pamper session felt a lot more calming.

Keep on the look out for Arbonne Week: Day Three tomorrow!

Prices:
FOAMING SEA SALT SCRUB £25
DETOXIFYING RESCUE WASH £29
RENEWING BODY GELEE £33

Can be purchased from the Arbonne Website.

Arbonne Week! Day One.

Hey guys!

If you read my last blog post then you would know that I am spending this week reviewing all of my Arbonne samples that I received from the beautiful Julie (see her twitter here). I wanted to dedicate this week to Arbonne as I feel like it needs to become a lot more known than what it is! If you would like to purchase any of the products I review then I will write the website details down below and how much the full size versions are. I also just want to say that these are all my opinions. I have been sent these samples but it won't stop me from being completely honest! So here we go.

I wanted to start the week off with the Lip Polish  samples as I have never really done a review on a gloss as I don't often wear glosses!

First impressions on all the Polishes is that they glide on the lip really well unlike some glosses that get sticky. I also noticed that the shimmer within Posh and Pearl is like gold flecks which is so pretty as it really warms up the lip colour. Overall the polishes are really glossy and are great addition to any make up collection.

Coral - it is more of an orange colour to a pink but it is a lovely colour and perfect for this time of year! It isn't extremely pigmented but it gives the lip a nice tone to the lip instead of a plain gloss.

Posh - wow wow wow. This colour is gorgeous! The colour is really pigmented and the shimmer inside it is gold which added something different to the polish instead of a sparkle. It glides on beautifully and it looks great in the lip.

Pearl - I have never really delved into the browns when it comes to lip colour as I dont really have the skin tone for it but this colour have a beautiful gold colour in it which really warms up a lip if your not into deep pink colours. It also has the gold shimmer in it like Posh which is so pretty.

Brown Sugar - I am personally not a fan of this colour. It is like a brown with a red undertone and it just doesn't suit me.. But over looking the colour, it is a really nice polish and is quite pigmented!

Overall, i was pleased with the colour pay off from these polishes and i would highly recommend Coral and Posh!

All of their Lip Polishes come in at £18 and you can find them on http://www.arbonneinternational.co.uk/

Keep an eye out this week for more reviews on the Arbonne Products and let me know what you think!

My On The Go Must Have!

Hey guys :)

So I was in Co-op the other day (as you do) and I was pottering around the toiletries section and it's actually 3 for 2 there at the moment and I had to pick up two other things and you know how it goes.. you HAVE to buy something else just to get something free. That's when I saw the Vaseline Spray & Go body moisturiser. Now I have seen these around and never really thought to get involved with them because I thought if was just a gimmic... But it was there so I thought, why not?!

When it comes to my skin, I need as much moisture as I can get. I don't know why but my legs are always pretty dry and I always forget to moisturise so that's when I thought that this may give me the nudge to do it. Like every other girl out there, as soon as I got home, I had a little try of it. First impressions were that it smells lush! I know it's cocoa butter so you can imagine the smell but i would say it's got a slight coconutier smell which is really nice! I'm not sure what I was expecting from this product but I can say that in am really impressed and it has helped me out a lot! When applying the spray, it is so cold as obviously with a cream it's warmed up in your hands and this is obviously straight from the can. It sprays the perfect amount on your skin and the best thing about this product is how well it soaks into the skin. It definitely lives up the name of being an 'on the go' moisturiser as I rubbed it into my skin and my skin was dry enough to put clothes on! This has become a revaluation in my beauty routine as it is so light and easy to apply in the mornings when I am in a hurry in the mornings.
They come in Aloe Vera and like a Natural one and are super cheap as they are only around £4.99!

If you a person that has hectic lifestyle then I would seriously recommend this product in your life as it is so beneficial!
I hope you are all okay and all having a great weekend. Look out for my blog next week as I am doing a Arbonne product review week!

RECOMMENDED: VO5 Plump It Up Amplify Blow Dry Lotion

Hey guys.

So I have never really reviewed hair products I don't think, it's always been more beauty products but today I wanted to give credit to a product I recently discovers and that is the VO5 Plump It Up Amplify Blow Dry Lotion. I already own the heat protection and I love that so I thought why not try something to give my hair a little volume as I have 'flat as a pancake' hair.

It's pretty simple, all you have to do is spray it around your hair when it's damp after washing, focusing on the roots and the crown. It smells nice and it doesn't even give your hair that strange texture which some products can do. I blow dried my hair with a wide padle brush lifting it up so the roots are lifted as they are drying and as soon as my hair was dry, my hair was noticeably thicker and I had a noticeable lift. The added bonus that I noticed is that the lift in my hair actually kept for a long time after styling my hair which doesn't normally happen as I have hair that loves to drop!
I was that impressed by it, I am definitely going to purchase the VO5 Plump It Up Dry Backcomb Spray!
I just checked on SuperDrug and they are selling it for £3.79 which I think is a complete bargain for this product as I think it is completely amazing! Check it out!

I hope you're all having a great week guys! Sorry I'm slow on the blogs at the moment, I'm so busy!

My Mac Wishlist.

Hello Beauties!
If you follow me on twitter, you would know that it is my birthday soon! If you don't then, its the 27th March! aha. I have a few things planned, the main thing is that on the 28th i will be going to London for the day with my best friend! I have been saving for this day outing for a couple of months now just because i knew i'd be moving out and so forth and I wanted to have a good shopping spree and live the high life for a day as they say! I live in a small town in Northamptonshire, which by train is about 30/45 minutes away from London.
Whilst i'm there, I plan to have my usual cocktail at Hard Rock Cafe, which did on my 16th (non alcoholic of course), my 18th and now i'm going for my 20th. I was planning to do it every important birthday but although 20th isn't that important, i see that i am no longer a teenager and that needs celebrating!
One of the things i want to do is have a little Mac splurge and i thought, why not actually go to the Mac store and do it there instead of a department store, so then i know that everything will definitely be there! So in honor of that, here is my Mac Wishlist!

1. Mac Extra Dimention Highlighter in Superb - £20
I only have a couple of highlighters and none of them have actually amazed me so i'm ready for the upgrade!

2. Mac Pro Pallet x4 £6.50
I then want to choose some colors for the pallet. The reason why i haven't shown you which colors is because there are so many and i want to get four colors that i'm only using on occasions as they are pricey!

3. Mac Pro Longwear Concealer - £15.50
I've wanted this for an extremely long time.. its always a toss up between this or Nars but ive heard Nars is thick and i do suffer from under eye creases!

4. Mac Prep + Prime Highlighter - £18
I would like this just to go with the concealer for when im going for the more dewy look, i want to be able to blend it up my cheek bones!

5. Mac Extra Demension Blush in Dusk - £20
I have also heard great things about this and I want to find a good blush that is subtle but visible.

Its not a lot i know.. but thats because i know i will end up finding something that will catch my eye and ill want instantly!

What are your favorite Mac Products?

Bonjour Bourjois!

Hey guys :)

Spring is creeping in so quickly lately, with the evenings getting lighter and the days getting sunnier, it has really made me feel happier and that tends to show in my make up... Sounds strange I know but I feel like when the weather gets better, it's time to ditch the dark winter colors and bring out the light and brights! I was snooping in Superdrug the other day (as you do) and I noticed these two lip colors from Bourjois. Now I have had a bad experience with Bourjois as their eye shadows aren't good! I tried out their little trio shadows in like a brown theme and they were just very disappointing as they barely transferred on the brush, let alone onto my eye lid! But I didn't want to judge the whole range so I saw this Lip Stick and Lip Crayon and I thought I would give them a try!
So to start with the Lip Stick, it is 03 in Peche Cosy from the Rouge Edition and it is such a pure orangey/peachy color which I love for spring. It's not too orange because that could become too much on the lip for a softer look and it is really smooth to apply. It's hard to describe as it is not too glossy but it does have that shine element.. I know I'm not making sense but it's just so lovely! I would definitely recommend as it is a lovely smooth Lip Stick. I think i will be purchasing 19 Corail En Vogue from the Rouge Edition as it is a lot like the Peche Cosy but Corail En Vogue has pink undertones, where as Peche Cosy has orange undertones.

On to the second item I purchased, i was skeptical as i haven't found many Lip Crayons that have been pigmented or had a lot of colour pay off! but then again, i haven't tried Revlon ones yet... are they any good?!
Anyway, back to Bourjois. Now this crayon is called Color Boost does look quite bright and scary but once its on the lip, it goes slightly pinkier which is nice. That swatch is actually about 2/3 strokes do it all depends on how much of an orange tint you would like! It glides on really nicely though and it is quite glossy and i actually prefer the gloss from this than what i would a lip gloss as it is much lighter on my lips.

Both of these products come in at around £8 which isn't too bad but if you guys know other brands that have good orange/peach/coral tone lip products then let me know!

I hope you all have a great day, only one more day and its the weekend!
Love you all so so so so much, feeling blessed with the amount of views i've had!

Sunday Funday.

Hey Guys!
If you follow me on twitter (@PrettyChitChat) you would have seen that last Sunday i went on a little shopping trip! I went to Ikea, Lush and Primark along with lots more but I just wanted to mention a few things! So after browsing in a billion shops, I went into Lush because I really wanted to try the Mask of Magniminty because I had heard such great things about it. Whilst I was in there, I picked up one of their crazy concoctions that completely amaze me every time I go in, which was a cone shaped block that slowly melts at body temperature into a oil for massages and so on, which I thought was so cool! It is called From Dusk Till Dawn and it smells amazing! It smells like oranges and I really cannot get enough of it!!

After we had our usual Pizza Hut, sort of a ritual now days, then carried on to Primark and Ikea. On the 29th of March we officially get the keys to our new place which is so exciting but that is the reason for going to Ikea, just to look at some furniture and i also picked up some bedding. I love Ikea! Even just to walk around it, I love it haha. One of the first things that caught my eye were these metal tubs that are an ivory colour with a patterned trim that looks like doilies and I think they are to so cute. I think they are claimed to be flower pots but I just thought they are so cool to have all my brushes in one and all my little samples, smaller products and sponges in the other! (i know my brushes need washing)

Then it's not really a shopping trip if you don't go to Primark right?! I wanted to go in to check out their new make up range I had seen and I thought why not because they are all literally like £1 or £1.50 each which is insanely cheap! It's called P.S Love. I'm not going to lie, I was not expecting much from them! But still I picked up a Lip Crayon, Lip Gloss, Lip Stain Pen, a Eye Liner and two sets of lashes. I was actually pleasantly surprised with the out come of them as they are all quite pigmented. I will admit, it was two lines on the gloss and the crayon but i was so impressed! I haven't tried the lashes out yet but ill let you know how they are! Another thing to add is how cute the packaging is and i am always sucked in by good packaging! Go grab some, they're good for the price!

I hope you all have a lush week & of course Happy Pancake Day!

Smashbox Minis!

I am soooooo into minature versions of actual products. I don't know why but it means I can try loads of different products that are more on the pricey scale and if I don't like them then it's not a huge waste. Maybe that's me just being too sensible and not spontaneous but never mind!
If you follow me on twitter (@PrettyChitChat) then you will know that my lovely boyfriend recently purchased me a little treat from Smashbox! (Well done Matt)
I was so excited when it came as i was a Smashbox virgin... I had never try any of their products but one of my best friends told me how amazing their Photo Finish Primer is so I was excited to try something new out.

When the package first carm I really didn't know what to expect! Once I opens the box, I was impressed by the way they had packaged the samples as they looked so presentable. I started by trying the Photo Finish Foundation Primer and I really loved how light it was on my skin which I prefer as once you start applying the layers of make up, it can start feeling a little heavy on your skin and so I personally don't need anymore thickness shall we say! The Photo Finish Eyelid Primer is great for brightening the eye area ready for eye shadow. I do like this product but it is a perfect example of the reason why I like miniature versions of products so I can try them because I personally felt that a good concealer over the eyes works just as well for brightening the eye area and leaving a good base ready for eyeshadow and so on. I think the Smashbox product is great, I just slightly don't see the point in it! Personal opinion though!

As we are on eye products, I shall move on to their  Limitless Eye Liner in Onyx. I swatched this on my hand (as you do) and I straight away, with two lines, I could see that it is quite pigmented which is difficult to find with a crayon eye pencil. The other thing I noticed is it was definitely long lasting and a toughie! I know this as it would not leave my hand. I kid you not, it wasn't until I used an actual make up remover wipe that it actually shifted! I was very impressed as I have a couple of crayon liners and they are prone to smudging and they definitely don't last but this was definitely the opposit!

The third eye product in the little Try It Kit is a mini version of their popular Full Exposure Mascara. I personally feel like there are so many mascaras out that there when you see a bigger and better brand, you expect something amazing to come from them. Don't get me wrong, I liked the mascara... But the brush is one I've seen before.. It's basically a slightly skinnier and a tad more separated than the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara. I hate to say it as I expected huge things from this mascara and yes it done the job but not absolutely amazing. I'm not going to big it up because of the brand. I try to be honest and give my personal opinions!

Last but of course not least, is the miniature Lip Enhancing Gloss in Ilume. This is a great all round lip colour and it really does give your make up a great pop of sparkle. It is a lot like No7 High Shine Lipgloss in Whisper, which I love but the only issue with that one is definitely not smooth! This gloss how ever is very smooth on my lips and is definitely long lasting so I was impressed!
Overall out of the 5 product samples I relieved, I would probably but the normal size of the Photo Finish Prime, the Limitless Eye Liner and the Lip Enhancing Gloss because I feel like they are worth the money you will pay for them!

I hope you enjoyed reading my blog post or detailed analysis as that's what it turned into! Haha. Have a great Sunday beauties!
