The Long Awaited Charlotte Tilbury Palette

It has taken me too long to get this post up and i'm sorry, I have been slacking! But, I've pulled my finger out and here it is. This was my first Charlotte Tilbury purchase, which I am very excited about.
As you all know, I live no where near a Selfridges so when i'm in London, I always stop by the good makeup counters. Charlotte Tilbury has a prime spot in the Selfridges beauty hall so it was the first place I walked to (of course) and instantly had the hardest choice of things to buy. I had no interest in the foundation or concealer, as I know that I have some other foundations I want to try first. It was in fact a toss up between this and the Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette - which I still want and will probably be buying it at the end of the month - but I decided on this as I actually don't own any quads in my collection, they're all bigger palettes. If you've been to Selfridges, then you would know that its so hard to go in there and not spend money, so you have to go in there with a fresh payday, this was one of those times.
So, where do I start? Of course the packaging is gorgeous. The deep Burgundy tone brown with the gold is just everything and the style of the packaging is beaut! I have to say though.. I didn't realise it was so small?! I'm not sure why but it definitely looks bigger in the photos I've seen, maybe its me being used to bulkier packaging. One thing I do like the most is that on the back, you can see a small diagram of what shadow is made to go where, so for newbies to makeup, they know where to apply which shades where.
On to the shadows. I choose the golden goddess palette as they are all of my go to shades. I love the whole quad, they blend beautifully! The colours are great together, I especially love the top two colours for an effortless put together look. I have one tiny grumble.. I find the bottom left hand shadow to have an odd finish. It seems quite gritty and doesn't transfer amazingly. Now this might be because I haven't cracked into it enough yet but I would personally like it to be abit more transferable for the money I paid for it. Other than that, I think it's a great palette with a great range of colours in. I sort of want all of them now..
I also bought another little treat from Charlottle Tilbury which you'll see very soon!
Let me know if you own any Charlotte Tilbury and what do you think?!

  1. So, so, so jealous of your purchase! I just can't justify spending £50 on the Bronze and Glow palette (yet!), lovely purchase, and adore the quad you chose :)
