Breast Cancer Awareness Month

There's no intro needed for this post, you and I both know that us ladies (and the 400 men a year that are diagnosed a year too) all need to stick together against the big C and this is the month to show your support thousands of women and men struggling with breast cancer. I just wanted to share a few ways that you can either donate, contribute or show support though out the month of October.

No body realizes but nearly 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.

That's the equivalent to someone being told every 10 minutes

1 in 8 women in the UK will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.

The second most common death among women is from breast cancer UK and nearly 12,000 people die from it every year.

I just want everyone to realise that life is precious and for some people, they don't get a choice on how they live it as they are just fighting to stay alive. I take my hat off to the people that are brave enough to go through Cancer and it's time we showed those people some support!

It important to know these facts and its also important to know the signs of breast cancer. This photo was taken from the website where you can find all sorts of information about awareness and how you can help!

How To Get Involved

There are so many ways you can get involved, even by treating yourself you can donate!

You don't have to qualified to help a person dealing with cancer. Sometimes just a person to talk to helps a colossal amount. To find out about how to volunteer, check out this link to find out how you can help.

Theres all sorts of ways to raise money, from a sponsered walk to creating your own event. The Breast Cancer Care website offers loads of different ways to get involved. This events calendar is from the Breast Cancer Care website shows you some of the planned events that you can enter into.

Fancy a treat? Even buy buying some limited edition products, it means that youre also supporting BCA as the companies are donating money towards the cause.
